The Arjun Gupta Foundation has partnered with Squash Canada to award a series of $2,500 bursaries each year to Canadian junior squash players pursuing international excellence. Selection criteria include playing level, the professionalism of the athlete’s training program and support team, future goals, and demonstrated financial need.
Of the total bursary amount, $2,000 must be allocated toward coaching, training, competition, and related development expenses such as squash coaching, off court conditioning, mental performance training, and travel. The remaining $500 will be directed to the athlete’s designated National Training Centre.
Eligible applicants must be juniors between the ages of 13 and 18 who are committed to their development as Team Canada athletes in preparation for the LA 2028 Olympic Games.
We are proud to announce the recipients of the Arjun Gupta Foundation Bursary for International Excellence for 2024 and 2025. Established in honour of Arjun’s deep commitment to youth, sport, and community, this annual $2,500 bursary supports high performance junior athletes as they represent Canada on the international stage. These athletes embody the drive, discipline, and sportsmanship that Arjun championed throughout his life. In partnership with Squash Canada, we are honoured to help carry his legacy forward.
